Large-scale Russian Assaults Eliminate Power Throughout Kyiv

Power facilities under attack in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have faced increased strikes in the past few days

Overnight, Russian missile and drone strikes have resulted in electricity outages in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were wounded while inhabitants in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and faced disruption to water supplies, as stated by local authorities.

Simultaneously, a minor was fatally injured in a different aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southern area, as reported by regional authorities.

Moscow has escalated strikes on electrical systems over recent weeks, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "substantial measures" from international partners to exert influence on Russia.

"What is required is not window dressing but firm measures - from the US, European nations and the major economies - in providing defensive weapons and applying penalties," was stated in a social media post.

Officials stated that 450 drones and over thirty rockets targeted energy facilities, describing such attacks as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

The energy minister said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were working to restore power.

A series of attacks hit electrical systems and civilian homes in the capital.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the attacks on the capital have been hospitalized, according to municipal representatives.

Local officials said the metropolitan region experienced intense attacks overnight. A minor was killed and three other people were injured.

The attacks follow nights of aerial attacks in the territory, sections of which are occupied by Moscow's military.

All of Ukraine is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to spot.

Government officials told journalists that Russia was deliberately attempting to demolish the country's energy grid, with assaults already affecting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and government agencies were anticipating additional strikes.
